Channel Operators

What is a Channel Op? It's a person who hosts your chat on #MilitaryFamilies. They are there to ensure a fun, clean chat environment for you, the user. So what rules do they enforce?

1) Don't Swear in the middle of the channel. This can earn you a bad name and you'd just be embarrasing yourself. Remember, children visit us in #MilitaryFamilies.

2) Don't be rude or obnoxious toward the other users of the channel.

3) Don't Clone, Advertise other channels, or place a Bot in the room. Its prohibited on talkcity anyways.

4) "Typo" is the official language of #MilitaryFamilies....we all do it!!

Dandy2 was in the Army for almost 2 yrs as an imagery analyst. She met her husband in the Army who was a 75B (Personnel Admin Specialist). She then got out in 90. She is a stay at home mom now of 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl.

shortround - enlisted in the Navy on 21 Sep 68 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Boot camp was in San Diego, CA. He was trained in the electronics field and was assigned to various special operations units operating in the Western Pacific. He left the Navy in 1977. Upon leaving the Navy, he went into the Army National Guard full time and is presently the Missile Maintenance Chief for the Arkansas Army National Guard. The responsibilities of his shop include full maintenance of all TOW 2 and Dragon Anti-Tank Weapons Systems, Man Portable Air Defense Systems, Laser rangefinders, and target designators authorized the various units within the state. Presently being the project manager on an Electro-Optics Lab that will provide the AR ARNG with computer controlled optical maintenance, testing, and calibration capabilities. This is a prototype lab utilizing commercial off the shelf equipment and is currently the only one of its type in not only the ARNG but also within the active Army. When fully operational in June 99, this facility is expected to save the Active/Reserve components in excess of $15 million per year in missile system related repairs. His service has included duties aboard submarines and small combatants while in the Navy and as a Platoon Sergeant in a mortar platoon and missile maintenance detachment while in the Army National Guard. He has been married for 27+ years to his wife, Rosaline, and have four children, Derek 26, Stephanie 23, Jennifer 20, and Adrienne 10. They also have 2 grandsons Devin 3 and Darrin 1. Shortrounds hobbies include fishing, hunting, farming, and playing the mountain dulcimer.
